Today's Kansas City municipal election is moving along on according to plan . . .
Just a couple of insights so far . . .
- Morning turnout was predictably abysmal and polling places are mostly abandoned throughout Midtown.
- Really odd that there's not a lot of electioneering and campaign workers handing out ballots for this vote. The lack of a ground game doesn't bode well for supporters of today's questions.

CHECK THE HUGE PORTION OF KANSAS CITY TAXES SERVED TO DOWNTOWN CAFETERIA PATRONS ALONG WITH OUR BLOG COMMUNITY SPITTING OUT SOME WELL DONE CRITICISM!!!

TKC READER: "Righteous God, look at the taxes downtown now! Going to vote Hell no on every damned issue out of spite today. Greedy city hall swine ... Provide some damned services."
Read it and weep . . . Dining downtown is quickly becoming out of reach for locals given the feeding frenzy of local taxes that only getting worse.
Again, all of this might not seem like a lot but it's a huge bite for anybody on a budget.
This kind of frustration may or may not drive more voters to the ballot box this evening. Polls close at 7:00 PM.
