TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY INSIDER: 311 IS A JOKE!!!
The upcoming Kansas City GO Bond campaign promises infrastructure repair in exchange for nearly a half century of increased taxes. However, KICK-ASS INSIDERS offer proof that commitments from City Hall don't really mean much.
To wit . . .
WITH SPECIAL THANKS TO THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST OF OUR TKC BLOG COMMUNITY . .. TAKE A LOOK AT LONGSTANDING 311 COMPLAINTS REVELING SO MANY BROKEN KCMO PROMISES OF LOCAL REPAIR!!!
In journalism circles, "data driven research" is the new buzzword but fun facts are useless if they don't serve to challenge, change or impact the status quo.
Background: 311 is residents' connection for City services and information. Contact 311 to report a problem, request a service, or ask a question about a city service. Accordingly, here's the word on Kansas City wait times for action using this line . . .
"Explore this map, clicking on the green dots north and south. Note how old some of these 311 reports are that are unresolved. Why even offer the service if you're not going to do anything?"
Just a quick glimpse will note many wait times from 2013 and a few 2011 dates coming up as well.
Again, for the cheap seats, here's why this research is important . . .
Kansas City currently has residents hanging on YEARS for improvements, upgrades and repairs around their neighborhoods . . . This pattern is unlikely to change much if locals pass GO BONDS . . . The only thing that will differ is that residents will be paying an even higher price to wait around for KCMO services.
You decide . . .
