Kansas City politicos spent a great deal of time pushing politicos in Cincinnati to follow their lead down the streetcar track promising urban development riches. Now, in the Winter of our discontent and following constant break downs and lower ridership numbers . . . The streetcar sister city is crying foul and directing blame back to our cowtown.
To wit . . .
THANKS TO KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS FOR NOTHING THIS KANSAS CITY NAME CHECK IN HORRIFIC CINCINNATI STREETCAR FAIL!!!
Turns out that town bought the same kind of hunk of junk that Kansas City purchased and they already regret it and talk about withholding payment.
As always, AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS get FIRST WORD . . .
"The Transit Authority Spokeswoman later confirmed Friday afternoon that Kansas City's new streetcar system -- the only other in the country to use this vehicle model -- has seen similar issues, although KC Streetcar spokeswoman Donna Mandelbaum declined to comment on the specific nature of technical issues seen in their streetcar vehicles . . . "

"Now it has become clear why KC Streetcar is adding two more streetcars to their four vehicle fleet. Hope they are getting extended warranties on the new lemons."
Developing . . .
