TKC MUST SEE BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! K-9 UNIT DISCRIMINATION LAWSUIT AGAINST RETIRING KANSAS CITY POLICE CHIEF FORTÉ STARTS THIS WEEK!!! COULD HIS EPIC PENSION GO TO THE DOGS???

The sordid topic of racial complaints and divisive legal confrontation among Kansas City Police is under discussion in local courts right now.

To wit . . .

SPECIAL THANKS TO BAD-ASS TKC TIPSTERS WHO SENT US THIS GLIMPSE OF THE KCPD CHIEF STARTING LEGAL PROCEEDINGS IN AN EPIC DOGGIE LEGAL FIGHT WITH COLLEAGUES!!!

Background from earlier coverage . . .

"Four male Kansas City police sergeants have filed a lawsuit alleging they lost out on a department K-9 job they wanted that a less-qualified female applicant received in an effort to bolster the department’s diversity . . . The lawsuit alleges the Police Department is seeking greater diversity. Since being appointed chief, Forté has said repeatedly that the department “must utilize recruitment, promotion and retention to encourage a workforce that reflects the characteristics of its community,” according to the lawsuit.

"Minority police officers have received a disproportionately high number of special assignments, according to the suit.

"Forté is African-American, and the plaintiffs are white men. The woman who got the K-9 job is white.

"The plaintiffs allege she attended only one training session with the K-9 unit while other applicants attended more . . ."

This represents a nice and well deserved break from election coverage today but also a glimpse that racial tension will persist among the KCPD despite the groundbreaking tenure of the first African-American Chief.

Just for clarification and to protect our KICK-ASS BLOG COMMUNITY . . . We should note that the pix were garnered by tipsters and sent our way in accordance with Missouri Court Operating Rule 16 and before officials told everybody but put their phone away as evidence by the Chief most likely tweeting in this double shot image as well . . .

More importantly, our blog community believes that this image and citizen media reporting offers a fair use, public information and 1st Amendment commentary on part of the legacy of Police Chief Darryl Forté who remains engaged in legal conflict with members of the KCPD over racial drama as he retires.

You decide  . . .
