THE TKC SATURDAY NIGHT PLAYLIST!!! KANSAS CITY APRIL FOOL'S DAY CONCLUSION AND THE GO BOND VOTE!!!

Just a quick check-in for tonight in order to share some of our favorite old school April Fool's Day tunes and a few more insights into the upcoming $800-MILLION vote . . .

First up . . .

Aretha Franklin in her glory days starts off the list and causes us to lament that Kansas City Democracy has very few new players on the scene and instead relies on the same-old "chain of fools" and or usual suspects who continue to ask for more tax breaks.

A note about trust . . .

"What A Fool Believes" dedicated to anyone who thinks that all of the money from Question 1 & 2 will go toward infrastructure repair given the city's horrible record of deferred maintenance.

A classic . . .

The very best cover of "Fools Rush In" reminds us that City Hall doesn't really want voters to take a minute to think about their options given the lack of debate, critical questions or transparency during this election.

Nobody's Fool . . . A hair band classic for those very rare local tax fighters and the Northland who habitually reject all of Mayor Sly's happy talk . . .

Finally . . .

Foolin from Def Leppard because this low turnout election with such a high price-tag is kind of a joke.

Nevertheless . . . We've got even better insights coming up without all the joking as locals are starting to get more serious about what could be a defining moment for the future of Kansas City and the first vote after the Trump victory.

As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night . . .
