TKC BLOG COMMUNITY CONFIRMED!!! KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN STREETCAR DOESN'T WORK IN THE RAIN!!!

Another season of FAIL confronts Kansas City's newest beloved form of rail transit.

To wit . . .

PROVING ITS UNRELIABILITY ONE AGAIN: THE KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN STREETCAR SHUT DOWN TONIGHT UNDER TYPICAL SPRING SHOWERS AND SOME HAIL!!!

As usual, here's more proof that we we're right about this lemon of a transit system as local bus transit worked this evening through the storm . . .

One of the best and brightest from our blog community says:

"Nothing like $120-MILLION-DOLLAR public transit that can't deal with wind, rain and some hail. It really wasn't that bad Downtown, not nearly as rough as some of the suburban damage."

Thankfully, now that the rain has cleared, the streetcar is back up and running . . .

What have we learned???

LIKE IT OR NOT, THE KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN STREETCAR IS UNRELIABLE UNDER TYPICALLY TOUGH KANSAS CITY WEATHER CONDITIONS!!!

The streetcar has stalled amid cold & ice and now hail and wind have proven too much for these temperamental and hyper-sensitive vehicles to handle . . . Meanwhile cars, trucks, buses and bicycles kept chugging along through the typical muck.

Like it or not, the level of constant shut downs and disappointment of the streetcar must be addressed as Kansas City considers moving forward on this expensive and undependable mode of transit that's asking for more money to expand.

You decide . . .
