The KCMO murder count continues to trend upward. Here's a report on the latest victims:
Police are investigating an accident at Blue Parkway and 55th Street . . . When officers arrived, they found a man and woman shot to death inside a car lying in a ditch. Officials also found a third shooting victim a couple blocks away and they were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
This double murder brings the homicide count to 27 to start the 2nd quarter of the year compared to 19 at this time last year -- More than a 40% increase so far for 2017.
