Kansas City 'Fight For $15' Fair Wage Recap



Quick recap of this week's Kansas City culture war, political and economic fight so we're all up to speed . . .

Here's the City Hall Minimum Wage Ordinance form 2015 that was passed and then SHUT DOWN because of Missouri law.

A week ago, the Missouri Supreme Court upheld a minimum wage increase vote in STL.

Amid continued protests and political moves, fast food companies are pushing forward with kiosks, mobile orders and new tech to make their biz less reliant on low wage workers.

And while a minimum wage increase vote is scheduled for August in KCMO . . . The recent STL "Fair Wage" legal victory has inspired activists, politicos and Councilman Quinton Lucas to push for a Kansas City vote ON THURSDAY.

Mayor Sly James BACKTRACKED on his support of a local minimum wage increase and now wants to shift the responsibility of that move to the Missouri Legislature.

Meanwhile, Missouri legislators in Jeff City are working feverishly to preempt any new legislation.
