Winter in Kansas City has decimated hope that the Downtown Streetcar was anything more than a tourist attraction as locals turned toward more reliable bus transit during colder weather.
However . . . As usual, we found a bright side to continued rail transit disappointment.

We updated the latest graph from the Kansas City Streetcar Authority in order to define the uptick in rides on an unusual January day that hit nearly 60 degrees and coincided with the Women's March On Washington in Kansas City.

Still, there remains controversy about the “Unlinked Passenger Trips” counting methodology that is more of an estimation than an accurate count and KCMO has scaled back numbers that CURIOUSLY claimed to be higher than Seattle, Dallas and Washington D.C. . . .
And so . . .
SO FAR WOMEN AGAINST PREZ TRUMP HAVE PROVED TO BE THE DRIVING FORCE FOR KANSAS CITY STREETCAR RIDERSHIP IN 2017 AND THAT DOESN'T BODE WELL FOR MORE FED FUNDING FOR THE NEXT 4 YEARS UNDER THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION!!!
