SHAME!!! KANSAS CITY FOUNTAINS REPLACED BY RAIN GARDENS!!!

Here's a bit of bad news from our blog community and a trend that features our city's moniker in decline.

To wit . . .

A GROWING NUMBER OF KANSAS CITY FOUNTAINS ARE BEING SHUT DOWN AND TURNED INTO RAIN GARDENS GIVEN DECLINING FUNDS FOR MAINTENANCE AND THE GROWING EMPHASIS ON CONSERVATION!!!

Tongue in cheek analysis from our blog community . . .

"You know what they say about horticulture, "you can lead a whore to culture but you can't make em' think". That is wrong on so many levels. But now that we're on the subject of Country Club Plaza . . . What's up with the shrubs planted in the fountain?"

The answer is simple and we've reported this one for the past the past two years . . .

There's not enough money to maintain these structures and Kansas City is no longer the city of fountains thanks to budget constrains.

Developing . . .
