TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL!!! CITY COUNCIL DOUBTS PREZ TRUMP WILL ENFORCE ADA REGULATIONS DOMINATING UPCOMING KANSAS CITY $800 MILLION GO BOND VOTE!!!

On the face of it, working to bring Kansas City into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 is at the core of $800 MILLION worth of general obligation bonds which Mayor Sly & Co. are attempting to sell to the voting pubic in April . . . Never mind that's just a ruse in order to secure a blank check to spend on hotels, toy trains and pet projects . . . For a moment, let's consider the reality of ADA rules & regs amid the incoming Prez Trump Administration.

To wit . . .

CITY HALL INSIDERS TELL US THEY DOUBT PREZ TRUMP REALLY CARES ABOUT KANSAS CITY ADA COMPLIANCE!!!

Here's just a bit of mainstream media news sources to back up this behind the scenes talk of the President's commitment to freeing Americans from government constraints and/or enforce laws already on the books . . .

NY Daily News: Trump kicks off first week in office with exec orders on trade and vows to cut regulations by '75%, maybe more'

VOA News: Trump Touts Executive Orders, Preparation for Health Care Repeal After First Week

The Hill: Trump's regulatory freeze goes further than Obama's

And so, cruel as it might seem . . . The ADA compliance push for an EPIC GO BOND SELL might be misguided given the decidedly anti-regulatory tone of this administration.

Fact is, the only thing people really seem to be excited about is a desperately need animal shelter.

Let's not forget that Councilman Quinton Lucas was successful in breaking up the Mayor's GO Bond package and Council Lady Heather Hall has already posed a great many questions about transparency throughout this process.

In the final analysis, what public opposition and behind the scenes doubts from Council really signals is that Mayor Sly confronts an even greater loss of support from his colleagues at City Hall when attempting to sell this massive debt to Kansas City.

Developing . . .
