"In Kansas City, Missouri there's a neighborhood hangout called The Tenderloin Grill. Sure, they're known for their fried tenderloin sandwich, but they're famous for serving pig snoots on a bun. For generations, pig snoots were cheap food for working class people in meatpacking towns like Kansas City because it was the part of the animal that no one else wanted. When you take a look at the snoot sandwich, it's easy to understand why this might have been the case.
"Today, The Tenderloin Grill is a local institution, where the local police bring rookie cops to eat snoot sandwiches as an initiation rite. Host of Bizarre Foods, Andrew Zimmern, tucked into his snoot sandwich like rookie cop with gusto, and described it as tasting a little like pot roast with a "latexy, vaseline kicker."
