TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY ROBO CALL QUESTIONNAIRE REVEALS $800 MILLION CITY HALL BOND ISSUE SLUSH FUND TRIPLE THREAT!!!
Amid higher crime, cold weather infrastructure FAIL, rising interest rates and the prospect of continued harsh economic times . . . Our blog community puts us on notice as an EPIC bond issue ask now evolves into an upcoming election campaign.
To wit . . .
CHECK ROBOCALL REVELATIONS REVEALING TRIPLE THREAT TACTICS FOR AN $800 MILLION KANSAS CITY BOND ISSUE SLUSH FUND!!!
Here's the word and a peek at the campaign confronting taxpayers:
Got survey tonight asking about April bond election.
New strategy:
3 ballot questions possible all for 20 years:
1. $600 million - roads, bridges, sidewalks, etc.
2. $150 million - flood control
3. $50 million - animal shelter, public buildings
All of these initiatives are great ideas but NONE of them are guaranteed or promised in the Ordinance Fact Sheet or in the unseen ballot language that reads more like a blank check . . .
Better yet, here's a bit of insight from a KICK-ASS INSIDER who knows this issue better than anyone else . . .
"This ballot issue is as cold as THIS morning. They know they are in trouble. The animal shelter people are threatening to start a petition to get their issue on the ballot. The water department has $100 million in shovel ready projects that have to be done. Their is NO leadership at City Hall. That is what the Greater KC Chamber of Commerce, Civic Council and lawyer mob get for rigging the last mayoral election. The Mayor has no mandate other than to keep the so-called economic development gravy train going (i.e. downtown hotel). Don't blame the City Manager, he has to go out and try to sell the crap (the most polite word I could come up with) that Mayor and city council order him to do.
They haven't devised a real plan in the past 2 months and they have been having council meetings trying find out how to con the voters one more time. Asking for 20 year tax increase is stupid. Project list by resolution? They might as well write it on toilet paper. Promising new sidewalks to everyone, they are not changing city charter first. They are so broke they can't fix what is now broken or in disrepair and asking citizens to add to the $6 billion to do list. Is what _______. (You fill-in the word).
"Most citizens think the Mayor and City Council, newly awarded the proceeds of the bond issue, would be like someone who had won the lottery. They would go through that $800 million in 5 years not 20 years. They only know tax and spend. And don't get me started about the other issue the 1 cent sales tax for capital improvements, they have not even discussed this in committee meetings."
You decide . . .
