SUNDAY SPECIAL!!! KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY BLOG COMMUNITY DENIZENS CHALLENGE POLITICALLY CORRECT CONVENTIONAL WISDOM ON FIGHT FOR $15, STREETCAR EXPANSION AND GREEN ENERGY!!!
This morning we turn to our blog community once again for insight and wisdom on the local news and the trends of our times.
To wit . . .
SPECIAL THANKS TO KICK-ASS READERS FOR PROVIDING PUBLIC INFO TO CHALLENGE KANSAS CITY POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!!!
Like it or not, it's important to realize that anonymous free speech, news tips and off-record comment are all vital to the public discourse and help to protect whistle-blowers calling b.s. on so many local trends without fear of reprisal.
Accordingly . . . Here's a KICK-ASS list of topics confronting push back with newie link evidence to back up the assertions . . .
FAIR WAGE FIGHT FAILS OUT WEST BUT STILL THREATENS KANSAS CITY JOBS!!!
We want po'folk to make more money but not by chasing away biz or cutting their own throats . . .
"If $15 hour minimum wage won't work in CA it won't work in MO or KS . . ." Leaving for Las Vegas: California's minimum wage law leaves businesses no choice
SEATTLE HITS PAUSE ON STREETCARS!!!
A national trend that locals are too scared to support . . .
"Looks like America's love affair with the streetcar is over . . ."
"Owing to questions about the value of the project, Seattle’s proposed First Hill Streetcar expansion has been put on ice by the Seattle Department of Transportation, according to recent reports."
KCP&L RATE HIKE PERSISTS DESPITE USELESS "GREEN" ENERGY EFFORTS!!!
Billing testimony and a tragic trend that's mostly unreported . . .
"Just opened some bills and noticed that KCPL held public meetings in December to increase our rates 10.77% this coming year. That's on top of the 11.7% increase KCP&L received in 2015. That's an over 20% increase in power bills in two years. I thought "green" energy initatives that you all have been promoting would decrease our electric bills . . . Everyone gets all wound up about taxes but doesn't notice utility companies raising fees with hardly any accountability . . ."
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Kansas City Power & Light Company has filed a rate increase request with the Missouri Public Service Commission (“PSC”). The proposed increase is approximately 10.77 percent.
Accordingly, while fair wages, public transit and clean energy sound like great ideas . . . The FAILED efforts and tragic end results of these ideas championed by so-called "progressives" have been proven ineffective, unworkable and, worst of all, prohibitively EXPENSIVE.
You decide . . .
