Recently, at around midnight Saturday night/Sunday morning, police found a man shot to death in the middle of the street at around 82nd and Troost.
Sadly, while this killing isn't out of the ordinary, it signals a more disturbing trend . . .

Last year at this point on the calendar there were 9 murders in KCMO. This year there have been 8 killings so far. The ice blast and then fake news fear of a followup ice blast that didn't happen seemed to give the city a moment of respite at the outset of the year . . . But now, tragically, the cycle of murder and violence is back in full swing.
