Yes, this is a (stupid) jump but hear me out . . .
Talking Kansas City Winter crime with some of the TOP ECHELON denizens of our blog community . . . They shared a story of Spanish-speaking-dominant victims doing a bit of shopping in the urban core (@ the Aldi on 39th and Prospect) as they were approached by two nearby residents who weren't completely bilingual but showed some enthusiasm for the language as they yelled "¡¡¡DAME TÚ DINERO!!!" at pair while drawing guns and took about $800 in cash along with mobile phones . . .
Postscript . . . It's nice to see that local denizens of the urban core are getting familiar with one another and using the informal verb tense. But I digress . . .
Luckily, nothing was hurt but pride . . . However, this bit of multicultural news offers a bit of hope for Kansas City as the nation now seems intensely divided and mired in a political slap-fighting even when confronting the most callous sort of crime that SHOULD earn universal rebuke.
