While many cinephiles flocked to see Star Wars Rogue One this weekend, one prominent Kansas political wannabee is publicly on the boycott bandwagon.
Former KS senatorial candidate Dr. Milton Wolf famously and inadvertently introduced his online presence with a social media post ridiculing patients.
A crackpot rumor circulated this week that Rogue One is a disguised anti-Trump movie. The premise Ignores the obvious logistical problems of re-shooting a blockbuster post election for political purposes. However, the writers and producers felt compelled to quickly address the ridiculous accusations.
But don't let that get in the way of good Tweet storm.

I would have thought a movie about underdog unity against a fascist power would be uplifting, not controversial. It's not Hollywood's fault if a storyline about an evil empire seems to hit a little too close to home for Trumpers?
Since we're all covering fake news now, I'll also state for the record this is not a biopic. Any physical similarities between Darth Vader and Donald Trump are just coincidental, although it's does seem unusually weird that both breath loudly when speaking.
Hopefully, Dr Wolf will find a more enduring movie to his liking. Doctor Strange opened recently. Spoiler alert, it is not a hit piece about a crazy Kansas radiologist.

Post-script . . . Rogue One Earned $290 MILLION at the box office this weekend despite the imagined political controversy.
