SHAME!!! KANSAS CITY 2016 HOMICIDE #121: CITY HALL POLICE TAKEOVER AND EVEN MORE ANTI-VIOLENCE PROGRAM FUNDING DOMINATE DISCOURSE WHILST HISTORIC MURDER SPREE CONTINUES UNABATED!!!
The lesson we've learned regarding the historic Kansas City murder count as the end of the year approaches is cruel, terrifying and doesn't hold much hope for the future.
Here's the most important thing on the blog today . . .
CORRUPT KANSAS CITY ELECTED OFFICIALS AND CAREER ACTIVISTS HAVE DOOMED THIS TOWN TO AN ENDLESS CYCLE OF MURDER GIVEN THEIR QUEST TO SECURE CASH AND CURRY POLITICAL FAVOR WHILE NEIGHBORHOODS ENDURE ONE OF THE MOST DEADLY AND VIOLENT YEAR KANSAS CITY HAS SEEN IN A GENERATION!!!
It would be funny if there weren't people dying nearly every day due in part to the negligence, greed and ineptitude of Kansas City's corrupt political ruling class.
What we've seen this year is that anti-violence programs DON'T WORK in preventing violence and murder . . . The solution from City Hall & career activists: More funding.
Public service advertising campaigns don't work to decrease the level of violence on local streets . . . The solution from City Hall & career activists: More funding.
Cracking down on KCPD for doing their job doesn't inspire a morale among the very people risking their lives on the front lines to fight violence and murder . . . The solution from City Hall & career activists: More Funding, support of activists targeting cops and a risky takeover that's clandestinely focused on bringing the pension fund (KCPERS) under 12th & Oak control.
Also . . . Look closely and there's more funding for pizza parties as part of a policy of appeasement directed toward violent youth mobs in the process of destroying Midtown neighborhoods and entertainment districts.
Whilst pizza is delicious and can sustain a body, mind and soul . . . Pizza does not prevent crime or murder.
Accordingly and because a recent group commissioned by Mayor Sly James has proven to the biggest embarrassment to the idea of so-called "community outreach" touted by anti-crime groups . . .
Check the preliminary recommendations of the Citizens Task Force on Violence accompanied by news links with more info on the latest local murder that wasn't prevented by any of the organizations or strategies endorsed by this group.
1. Create full-time staff position to coordinate city’s violence prevention efforts. The coordinator and advisory board will be tasked with implementing the task force recommendations and coordinating violence prevention efforts in the city.
2. Establish community resource centers. The Task Force agreed that it must be a physical location on the east side; that it should include a plan for ongoing funding; and that city should work with community stakeholders to identify needs, resources, location and services.
3. Facilitate coalition building and leadership training for existing anti-violence programs and neighborhood leaders. This will be included in the job description for #1.
4. Create electronic database of all community resources and agencies.
5.Develop and implement Comprehensive Youth Master Plan.
6.Create public service campaign to change the culture of violence.
7. Create homicide review board. Connect with domestic violence service providers to determine what legislative action they need to fully implement their program.
8. Work with Health Department to secure CDC study of violence in Kansas City.
9. Draft recommendation about ongoing community engagement
