LIFE LESSON FOR KANSAS CITY PUBLIC SCHOOL SCHOLARS: ARE TRUMP SIGNS INHERENTLY RACIST???

The antics of high school sports fans don't really merit a great deal of attention but just for tonight let's revisit a controversial story of cross-cultural conflict, perceptions and what they have to teach Kansas City youngsters amid the culture war:

A high school tradition of students turning their backs when the opposing team is announced has some believing the custom is unsportsmanlike and racist . . . Dr. Scott Patrick, Superintendent of the Warrensburg School District said what happened during the game Monday night was not uncommon. In fact, he says it's a school tradition, a tradition he admits is unsportsmanlike, but he insists it has nothing to do with the racial makeup of the opposing team . . . Dr. Patrick said he apologizes on behalf of his students in the Warrensburg school district but he thinks the reason the video was shared has a lot to do with a student from his district holding up a Trump/Pence sign.

Was the opposing team rude? Probably. Is holding a Trump sign and the antics of cowboy hat wearing youngsters tantamount to racist oppression???

You decide . . .
