A couple of years ago an aspiring local politico said he was going to clean up this space and turn it into something or other . . . That never happened and for now it's still another blighted local landmark.
"The City workhouse castle building in Kansas City, MO. Built in 1897 as a city jail, the jail closed in 1924 and the building was repurposed a dozen times until it was abandoned in 1972."
