FEAR KANSAS CITY SNOW 2016!!!

Most locals understand that even a bit of snow threatens to turn local traffic and neighborhoods into a mess. City Hall is hoping to prevent bad publicity and here's part of their effort . . .

From the Kansas City Snow Update Page:

- KCMO Snow Command is tracking a system that may bring up to 1.5 inches of snow to the metro late Wednesday morning. The current forecast calls for snow to start after 10 a.m. and taper off and end around early evening Wednesday.

- Frigid temperatures arrive behind the snow with highs in the 20s for Thursday & Friday.

- Dry weather is expected for the second half of the work week, with another system possible this weekend.

The City’s Public Works Department has received its salt supply for the 2016-2017 snow season. This order will ensure a full supply of salt at all of the City’s five salt domes as well as a mid-season “top-off” of 10,000 tons.
