BEATING DEAD HORSE: PLAZA CARRIAGE RIDE CRASH AND ANIMAL CRUELTY DEBATE CONFIRMS KANSAS CITY CULTURE WAR!!!
Two quick things . . .
The animal rights debate vs. "tradition" of horses on the Plaza kinda proves that the Kansas City area is just about as divided as the rest of the nation when it comes to most issues . . . Even though support for removing the rides far outpaced backers of the carriages.
Secondly, on the bright side it's nice to see that the safety and the humane treatment of the animals was the top concern for most people commenting on the story. Like it or not, Kansas City cares quite a bit about cute animals.
