TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! TOLD YOU SO!!! TOY TRAIN STREETCAR RIDERSHIP NUMBERS CONFRONT DRAMATIC DROP AND FAR LESS TRANSIT ACTIVIST BRAGGING AS KANSAS CITY GETS COLDER!!!

Winter is coming but the debate over the toy train streetcar continues to heat up.

To wit . . .

CHECK THIS WORD FROM KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN STREETCAR CRITICS CHECKING STATS THAT AREN'T AS RELIABLE OR WIDELY TOUTED AS THE CROWDED AND BUSY SUMMER MONTHS!!!

Take a look . . .

This is interesting. If you go to http://kcstreetcar.org/ridership/, you will see that the link to the total streetcar ridership (http://kcstreetcar.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Total-Ridership-by-date-11.1.16.pdf). is completely unreliable for readers. I found the information by going to a cached version of the web page.

As you know the streetcar authority originally said the project was about development and jobs. Since that didn’t work out, they have been touting great (bogus) ridership numbers. Now they have chosen to obscure those “great” numbers. What gives???

08/29 - 3,736
10/03 - 3,504
10/31 – 2,825

Doubtful there will be any riders left by Christmas time.

Now . . .

We visited these links and they worked for us after a couple of tries but our web game is strong and we're rocking souped up and refurbished machines purchased directly from the Pacific rim by way of high speed connections . . . Or at least that's what the clerk at Best Buy told us.

Either way . . . A look at the numbers shows streetcar ridership trending downward during the later months of the year . . .

And so, as cold weather and the novelty of the experience wearing off are clearly taking their toll whilst transit supporters rush to build onto the line BEFORE Kansas City officials can take a realistic look at the costs, benefits and risk of the most expensive streetcar toy train line in the nation.

Developing . . .
