This message is from one of the smartest people we know and for those of us checking news on a Friday night, the statement should resonate.
Here's the word and a bold predication for the future . . .
"Property Taxes: The ultimate result of the GO Bond election is that Kansas City houses lost $5000 in value. We have the highest taxes, highest water bills and the highest crime of any metro municipality. SKC and Waldo are going to look like the East Side in 7 to 10 years. Most homes will be rental houses. Middle-class families can get a better house in Blue Springs, Independence or Belton with lower costs, they will not move to OR move out of KC.
Tuesday was no victory for KCMO."
